On April 13, members of the ROBAR Group team took part in the 2025 Tour de Brisbane, riding to raise funds for The Sunlight Centre, a Brisbane-based organisation that offers free crisis counselling for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or self-harm.

This was ROBAR’s second year riding in support of the Centre. Their goal was to raise $3,500. Thanks to the generosity of clients, suppliers, colleagues, and community supporters, the team more than tripled that target and raised over $11,200 in donations.

The ROBAR team ready to roll, and proudly supporting mental health at this year’s Tour de Brisbane.

The ROBAR Group team completed the 120-kilometre course, with one additional team member taking on the 50-kilometre ride. The event itself was a rewarding challenge, but the real impact lies in what those kilometres represented- greater access to mental health services for those who need them most.

The Sunlight Centre plays a vital role in the community. It offers free, face-to-face crisis counselling to people struggling with mental health, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts. Without government funding, the Centre relies entirely on donations and partnerships to continue its work. ROBAR’s fundraising effort directly supports this mission and helps ensure more people receive professional support during difficult times.

ROBAR extends its thanks to everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser, or encouraged the team along the way. It was a true community effort and a reflection of the values they carry both at work and in the wider community. They also thank the organisers of the Tour de Brisbane for another fantastic cycling event, and express their appreciation to The Sunlight Centre for the life-saving work they do every day.
